“Our decisions today build tomorrow's foundation. At Mullameah Highland Cattle, informed choices drive herd success and sustainable practices, securing a resilient future for our cattle and land.”

Here at Mullameah we are committed to running a sustainable business, at the same time not allowing this to implicate the environment in a negative way. Recycling of used products and tree planting are two examples of small changes of practice that we see having a huge impact in the future.

‘Mullameah’ has seen an extensive vegetation improvement program been put into place since 2019. Approximately 400ha’s of land varying from dense bush to native grasslands has been set aside to preserve and encourage natural flourishing of native flora and fauna under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT). Rare and significant species include native Violet, White box woodlands and Swift/King parrots.

In 2022 we were successful applicants for the Farm Dams Improvement Scheme. This allowed us fully exclude livestock from the dam and revegetate 2 hectares around the dam with native trees, shrubs and grasses from our local area. This helps reduce the amount of sediment and organic matter entering the dam and reducing water quality.
